a first must come some time...

...of course, I guess I could have been super po-mo about it and created a blog without the formality of actually using it.

The purpose of this blog is to allow for exposure of my artwork - at this point, my main focus is on knitting. While I am not a master of the craft at this point, I have gotten really excellent feedback from those who have received my knit gifts. I have even sold a couple of items specialty-ordered. From now on, I will photograph and post both commissioned pieces, gifts, and personal items so that people interested in my work can view it through a single forum.

Why I knit:
enjoyment, zen, practicing taking life one moment at a time, as a creative outlet, and because everything is connected....

Why I sell goods:
Because I can make things. I am an artisan; modern & real-life. If I make it, it will be of higher quality than that of a store. The materials will be from a responsible source - animal-friendly, and often recycled. My garments will be more unique and non-corporate than 99.99% of most of the stuff out there.
Take out the 30 middle-men, pollution, unfair labor practices, and obscene profits for CEOs; leftover, you will have everything, connected. It is a better way.

Cheers
